Scouting Angels Prospect Garrett Richards

In addition to the interview with I did with Halos Heaven, I also wrote a scouting report on Angels pitching prospect Garrett Richards. It’s essentially a republishing of Richards’ scouting report from the Angels top prospect list and is an example of what you get as a Premium member of Baseball-Intellect.

One of the attributes that allows Richards to throw hard is how he “bends as he breaks”. This means as Richards breaks his hands, he bends the torso at the waist and then pops back up just before planting his front foot, creating significant separation between his torso and hips.
