  • Aaron Gleeman breaks down the trade of J.J. Hardy to the Twins for Carlos Gomez. My personal take was the Twins made an excellent deal, getting a really good player in Hardy for pennies on the dollar. The trade was definitely deflating for me as an Oriole fan who felt Hardy should have been one of the team’s top — if not the top — priorities of this offseason, especially when you consider the Orioles have no in-house options at shortstop and their current shortstop is Cesar Izturis, an all-glove, no-bat stopgap who’s contract expires after next season.
  • Jeff Sullivan of Lookout Landing gives his take on Aroldis Chapman and the Seattle’s’ apparent interest. I’ll give my take on Chapman hopefully within the next couple weeks.
  • Seth Stohs of SethSpeaks has a Q&A with Twins pitcher Jeff Manship…always like to read player interviews because they give you insight into a player that you can’t get by just watching them on video or looking at box scores…
  • The Cheat of South Side Sox gives his take on Mark Teahan’s trade to the White Sox and how it shapes Chicago’s plans going forward.
