This article looks at Freddie Freeman across two games, including his performance against Reds prospect Aroldis Chapman. Though it was only nine or so ABs, I came away impressed by what I saw.
Freeman demonstrated good plate discipline, laying off most of the various breaking balls he saw early in the count. He also showed a good understanding of the strike zone by not offering on close pitches that were just out of the strike zone. Despite all of this, Freeman is an aggressive hitter as he’ll often go after the first good strike he gets.
