A quick note on video structure…videos are edited to include only key and legitimate prospects. Time between pitches and between innings are edited out. Some commercials are left in out of respect for the companies that purchase ad buys.

I use time markers for when a particular hitter comes up to bat or a certain pitcher enters the game so you don’t have to shuffle through the video looking for key players. Games are edited so you can scout and evaluate a prospect in the most convenient and quickest way possible.

SCOUTING REPORTS

Ross Seaton

Seaton is somebody I talked about briefly just recently. My opinion was that he was overrated by scouting services. He was hyped up as a high schooler in 2008 with a reported velocity between 90 – 94, touching 96. I don’t see any way he could have generated a velocity of 96 with his present mechanics.

However, it’s worth mentioning that Seaton’s mechanics were smoother and his stuff was better in an outing later in the year. I’ll eventually show you that video, but for now I want to look at his performance against Tim Beckham and the Bowling Green Hot Rods….
