Blue Jays prospect Daniel Norris was highly touted coming out of high school but regarded as a tough sign. As a result, he dropped to the second round of the 2011 MLB draft where Toronto snatched him up with the 74th overall pick.
Norris got off to miserable in 2013 but made adjustments, and ended the year a better pitcher. If you look at just the ERA, you’ll see two poor months to end the year. Dig deeper, and you can see his peripherals were the best they’ve been all year (fewer walks, more strikeouts).
