First, a little background on Jake Odorrizi. Selected by the Brewers with the 32nd pick of the 2008 draft, Odorizzi gives the Brewers’ system a legit front of the rotation type of prospect. Paul, you are a Newsletter member, so you get reports not seen on the main site and you get updates of when new content is posted. This is a Premium level article, so only Premium members can read it… I forgot to put that in the excerpt, so my apologies for that.

I recently started publishing Premium-Level content, which costs $2.99/month (offer good until the end of October) and as a Newsletter member, you would get a free month of access if you sign up for an account.

I put a ton of work and time into this site and I’m having trouble paying the bills for it, so I’m forced to come up with a different way to generate revenue or I’ll have to cut down the time I put into the site considerably.

Mr. Eisenberg, I was wondering if you could help me with something? I am very, very interested in becoming involved in scouting, and as I understand it I probably need to find a scout in my area and volunteer to become an associate scout. The problem is, I am having difficulty finding an area scout here in Lexington, Kentucky. Is there any advice you might have to offer me in this regard? I am quite serious about this, and would like to get started as soon as I possibly can. Please let me know if you are able to help. I appreciate your time, and will await your reply. Thank you.

Clinton, I would suggest going to some minor league games from teams around your area…the Lexington Legends is the obvious one and going behind home plate because that is often where scouts are stationed. You could also see if there are any baseball showcases or top high school/college prospects in your area and attend them. Scouts flock to where the best talent is playing. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions.
