I understand Brewers pitching prospect Wily Peralta has made big progress between 2010 and today, but I was still pleasantly surprised by what I saw out of Peralta on film.

What I didn’t expect to see was a pitcher who could work the corners as well as he did, and really put his ball in places that were impossible for hitters to get to, but enticing enough to where they couldn’t just lay off of it, especially with two strikes.

Peralta featured a fastball that registered between 92 – 95 mph, touching 97. The pitch had…
