Just to give everybody a couple updates…I’m updating the design of my site, which I’m sure you can see. Obviously, everything isn’t finished yet and I’ll be adding more changes over the next couple days. I think the design will be much more professional than before. I took so long in trying to transition to WordPress last year that I mostly overlooked the design aspect of the site. So hopefully you can bear with me the next few days and I’ll be back to updating content shortly.

hey ……just saw a clip of tim alderson throwing……it reminded me of volquez……elbow up and hes not on top of the ball and than a similar whipping motion….looked scary to me…
I actually like Volquez’s mechanics…a whip-like arm action I see as a good thing because it indicates a loose and tension free arm and is correlated with velocity. Volquez also doesn’t have any timing problems. When you are as small as Volquez and throw as hard as he does, you know he’s getting the most out of his body as he can. They’re risky and I understand he recently had Tommy John surgery, but that happens sometimes.
As for Alderson, his delivery is rough though it’s improved since being drafted. He’s not the same pitcher he was last year, however. The quality of his stuff has dropped off a bit and his numbers have corroborated that. He’s a good prospect, but looks more like a No. 4 instead of a No. 2.
