Volquez also doesn't have any timing problems. When you are as small as Volquez and throw as hard as he does, you know he's getting the most out of his body as he can. They're risky and I understand he recently had Tommy John surgery, but that happens sometimes. As for Alderson, his delivery is rough though it's improved since being drafted. He's not the same pitcher he was last year, however. The quality of his stuff has dropped off a bit and his numbers have corroborated that. He's a good prospect, but looks more like a No. 4 instead of a No. 2.
