The 2010 Top-15 Prospect Lists
I’ll be coming out with my top-15 prospect lists for each team in the near future. I’ve gone back-and-forth with myself about how I’d like to present them.
Here is what I’ve decided…anybody who has read this site should know I come out with prospect lists in two parts: No’s 1 – 5 and No’s 6 – 15.
For Prospects 1 – 5…
For Prospects 6 – 15…

Prospect lists will be published by division, starting with the AL West, and followed by the NL East, AL Central, NL Central, AL East, and finally the NL West.
Before the first list is published, I will put out a sorta prelude that discusses my philosophy for this year’s list (it’s different from last year’s) and an explanation of my grading system among other things. I will also have a small farm system overview for each team as well.
In addition, the Premium content that is published alongside the top prospect lists will overlap/supplement the scouting reports you get in each top prospect list.
For instance, you’ll get a scouting report for each prospect in a team’s top prospect list, while a separate piece will give you an extended look and additional commentary for a few of the prospects as well.
The first team to have their prospect list published will be the LA Angels.

hey first off love the site, have been with you from the start or it feels like it anyways. Havent been an avid reader as of late due to the premium.. But i like your idea for the 2010 prospects list, but why give the first two of everyone and than 6-7. Everybody that stumbles on this site will know the top 2 prospects, i think that if you want your site to grow be ground breaking and dont hide your content. Have a reason for people to want to join your site besides just giving them the info they can get at BA or BP for free. Anyway my 2 cents, keep up the great work.
Rob, completely missed your comment. Sorry about that.
I decided to do 1, 2, 6, and 7 because those are the first two prospects for each separate article. It would be confusing if I gave people random prospects from the list.
In regards to hiding the content, the work I’ve put into the site is more than a full time job. The path I was on was leading to a dead end. Lot of readers, but very little money being made and if I kept doing the same thing, I wouldn’t be able to run the website for much longer.
As for people getting the same thing at BA or BP for free…the value behind the Premium content here is the extended video on the prospects. There is also less emphasis on mechanics for both BA and BP, so the reports are in fact different. In addition, while BP is reasonably priced, BA is really expensive for a lot of people.
With all that said, I do appreciate the feedback and I do hope you’ll consider supporting the site and joining.
