A quick note on video structure…videos are edited to include only key and legitimate prospects. Time between pitches and between innings are edited out. Some commercials are left in out of respect for the companies that purchase ad buys.

I use time markers for when a particular hitter comes up to bat or a certain pitcher enters the game so you don’t have to shuffle through the video looking for key players. Games are edited so you can scout and evaluate a prospect in the most convenient and quickest way possible.

SCOUTING REPORT

Never too early to start looking at the draft prospects of 2010. Anthony Ranaudo, the big right handed ace of LSU is expected to be one of the top picks in the 2010 MLB draft.

The thing I was most struck by in regards to Ranaudo was how emotional this guy is on the mound. He makes Joba look like a wall flower. If he’s on your team, you’re going to love him and love the energy and passion he brings. If he’s not on your team, he’s somebody that you will grow to despise. I made liberty to keep in the film his emotional displays and I’ll go over them in a bit.

But let’s look at Ranaudo from a pitching standpoint first. In this game, Ranaudo faced a young Kentucky lineup that isn’t really filled with prospects though they had a couple of guys worth keeping an eye on, the biggest being Cory Farris, an athletic outfielder that won’t be eligible for the draft until 2011. He was a 43rd round pick by the White Sox in 2008…
