The Struggling Aaron Crow
A year away from the game has certainly had an impact on Aaron Crow’s development. The Royals aggressively started Crow in Double-A, which is an appropriate place to start for a 23 year old, former first round pick, more than a year removed from college. However, Crow proved he wasn’t ready to start for such a high level and is now trying to prove himself in A+ ball.
The start I saw Crow make was actually one of his better starts of the year from a peripheral perspective. He struck out nine batters, walked none, and didn’t allow a home run in six innings of work.
But it was evident to me that he wasn’t the same pitcher he was in 2007 and 2008….
